章节目录

3. One merit each time for avoiding places of debauchery. (This shall also include not visiting pornographic‑websites nor frequenting improper establishments and the like.)

4. Five merits for refraining from lingering glances upon an attractive person. (When encountering scantily‑clad women and the like in public streets and refraining from looking, one gains five merits for each instance.)

5. Ten merits for practising sexual temperance within one’s household.

6. One hundred merits for constantly bearing sage‑divine principles in mind and observing strict self‑discipline even in private chambers. (Constantly bearing in mind the divine teachings, and refraining from licentious conduct when confronted with sexual temptations in places unseen by others.)

7. One hundred merits for preserving the chastity of a maid‑servant.

8. One hundred merits for remaining uncorrupted when placed in circumstances that could incite licentiousness. (Such as when someone offers improper advances, or when risky situations arise in social gatherings…)

9. Three hundred merits for authoring one volume of writings that warn against sexual immorality. (If lacking the time [for personal practice], assisting in the printing of virtuous books such as

Shoukang Baojian that exhort people to abstain from sexual licentiousness shall also earn one a measure of merits.)

10. Three hundred merits for destroying the printing blocks of an

obscene work. (To terminate the sources that breed licentiousness is to save countless people. In this age of advanced technology, every optical disc may serve as a master copy; destroying such material yields merit swiftly.)
