For women, transgressions involve elder sisters’ husbands, younger sisters’ husbands, elder brothers, younger brothers, or married male relatives of the same generation from their husband’s household.
The Overturning Wheel Ice Firmament Hell features an enormous rotating wheel. Encircling it stand frigid ice walls, and overhead lies an ice slab resembling a mirror — we may call it the ice mirror. The ice mirror differs from the ice forming the surrounding walls; it possesses transparency and reflective properties, functioning just like a mirror to reveal all that transpires within the wheel. Countless shards of transparent ice continuously fly out from the mirror and strike the condemned souls enduring torment on the revolving wheel.
At that moment, I watched a naked male soul walk toward the giant wheel. The wheel drew him in and trapped him inside as it spun. Ice shards shot forth from the ice mirror to pelt his body. Every impact sliced open his flesh, severing his hands and feet. Overwhelmed by agony, the condemned soul struggled desperately to escape. Yet even if he managed to stumble out of the wheel with his wounded body, the ghost enforcers waiting outside would spear him with forks and hurl him back inside. The scene was unspeakably horrific. Amitabha!
Then the Magistrate instructed me to visit the adjacent Blossom Sword Forest Hell. The condemned souls imprisoned here committed sexual misconduct with their direct lineal relatives during their mortal lives, either voluntarily or under coercion. Those who were forced and felt no lustful delight at the time may escape this torment through sincere repentance. However, anyone who experienced sensual gratification must receive retribution. Men who engage in sexual misconduct with daughters, granddaughters, mothers-in-law, grandmothers, or female direct relatives on their wife’s side, and women who commit such acts with fathers, grandsons, grandfathers, fathers-in-law, or male direct relatives on their husband’s side, will endure punishment within this hell. This realm is filled with countless blossoms that appear beautiful at first glance, yet they conceal deadly mechanisms. The blooms shift colors and look deeply alluring.
I saw a naked male spirit, overcome by lust, reaching out to grasp one flower. The blossom swiftly transformed and coiled around his body. As it slowly wound downward toward his genitals, it severed them cleanly, splattering blood everywhere amid mangled flesh. Afterwards, the flower shattered into countless rigid petal fragments that pummeled the condemned soul until he lost consciousness. Once he fainted, the ghost enforcers doused his face with frigid icy liquid to rouse him, and the cycle of torment repeated endlessly again and again. If they had known what awaited them, why would they ever have committed incest?
The Magistrate said: “Incestuous misconduct in the mortal world cannot be tolerated by heaven and earth. Those who commit incest are burdened with grave evil karma and will inevitably receive heavy, unforgiving punishment to demonstrate the impartiality of the nether laws.
We shall conclude our visit for today. You may return another time.”
“Thank you for your guidance!” With these words, I took my leave of the Magistrate.
